WALKING WITH WILDLIFE BOOK SERIES

This new series of books can be ordered at your favourite bookstore or ordered online at Amazon or Booktopia in Australia. They are also available in many other countries.

The author, Jenny Dyer lives on a small property outside Gympie, Queensland, Australia.  She started her career as a teacher and then moved in a successful desktop publishing and colour printing business, as well as a horse sports photographer even publishing a successful rodeo book called RODEO DOWNUNDER in July 2008.

She has now turned her hand to photographing nature and wildlife, mainly birds, on her property when she walks each day, hence the name WALKING WITH WILDLIFE.

She recently home schooled her grandson teaching him photography skills, as well as techniques to get close to birds to photograph them.  They also photograph the small wildlife like spiders, insects, lizards and snakes as well as animals like koalas and kangaroos.

With all this experience she has used her photos to compile some very simple and easy to understand books with beautifully colourful photos to educate young children (and some adults) how to observe nature.

What people are saying

“Continuity is essential in infants learning so I think you’ve answered the lower primary teachers’ dream. I could write a complete monthly curriculum on this theme.

This book is a truly wonderful resource to introduce young people (and even the not-so-young) to Australia’s iconic wildlife. Filled with stunningly beautiful photographs taken by the author, along with text based on the author’s first-hand observation, the book facilitates easy identification of the birds, animals and reptiles of the Australian bush. I can imagine parents and children taking the book in their backpacks on nature walks, as well as teachers potentially using it as a classroom resource. In summary, a great addition to the bookshelves of Aussie families and a wonderful introductory text for people in other countries who wish to know more about Australia’s unique fauna and flora. A definite five stars!” Geoff
